Watermelon

Hi All-

A lot's been going on lately so I haven't had a chance to post, but I am hard at work on my next comic Watermelon. It's a longer form comic that consists of a host of short stories on the topic of race. I'll keep you posted on the progress. I know for sure that it's definitely going to be a commitment. A fun one though!

Met Daniel Clowes (Ghost World, Art School Confidential, etc.) last night at a signing at the Brookline Booksmith. I asked him the typical question concerning if he had any advice for aspiring comic book artists and he had some great insights. Number one no-no: Don't just send people your website. Send them physical copies of your work!


...and by the way check out his new book Mr. Wonderful. It's a middle-aged romantic comedy of sorts. Great stuff!
